The diverse coffee aromas play the main role in all our products. Spin-Cold Brew® is pure in character, aromatic-mild instead of bitter and contains less acids than hot coffee.
RE-COFFEE stays away from sugar and is only sweetened with agave nectar if it adds to the taste harmony.
RE-COFFEE keeps you mentally fresh whenever an energy boost is needed. Thanks to the natural caffeine from the coffee bean, no other artificial stimulants are needed. The caffeine content is comparable to about 3 espressos.
RE-COFFEE provides a refreshing change and not just on hot days. It helps you keep a cool head in heated situations at work, during sports or during your commute.

Green coffee: The Ethiopia Sidamo bean is a top variety from the country of origin of Arabica coffees. Bred from originally wild coffee trees, grown on small farms as so-called garden coffee. The coffee beans are very carefully and elaborately processed – drying takes place on stretched cloths that have no contact with the ground. 100 % pure variety and Fairtrade certified.
Roasting: The beans are lightly roasted to preserve their natural aromas. The roasting profile was developed by our partner Turm Kaffee in St. Gallen

Black
As soon as we discovered that with our Spin-Cold Brew® Process we could capture the whole array of diverse coffee aromas from Ethiopian Arabica Sidamo coffee beans, it was clear to us that we could not withhold this pure coffee taste from all the coffee lovers out there. The variety RE-COFFEE Black contains no sugar, no calories, no additives and convinces with its 100% naturalness.
Be brave and unleash your creative side, spice up the RE-COFFEE Black with some ice cubes, rice milk, fruit juices or spirits. The only rule is that it needs to taste good.
Milky
For all those who like to refine their coffee with a little milk, we have developed a velvety-creamy version with Swiss whole milk. Don’t worry, you can still clearly taste the coffee. It would be a pity if we “drowned” the precious aromas in the milk. The slightly sweet note is rounded off by the addition of some agave syrup. RE-COFFEE is the perfect alternative to the often over-sugared and artificial flavored cold coffee drinks.
In order to make our Milky shelf-stable, we are required to introduce unwanted “E’s” in our beverage. We too feel that reading the Latin-sounding words takes us back to chemistry lessons, and thus we are constantly looking for alternative options.

Fairtrade
Our products are produced according to fair guidelines and are Fairtrade Max Havelaar certified. This means that support is provided to the local farmers as well as the parties involved in the growing, procurement and production of our coffee.
Bio
The naturalness, the environmentally friendly cultivation as well as the high quality of the processed coffee are particularly important to us. We source our coffee beans from organic farmers and are proud to have the Bio-Knospe (organic) certificate since February 2019. The RE-COFFEE Black is competely organic, while the Milky and Fruity while not obtaining the organic label, benefit from the quality of the organic coffee beans.
Micro Sharing
Making the best cold brew is not enough for us. RE-COFFEE combines pleasure with a good conscience. Our products support the micro-sharing concept. This means that with every bottle of RE-COFFEE sold, one person in Ethiopia is provided with drinking water for 2.5 days. This allows us to give something back to the country of origin of our coffee. Our partner Helvetas Switzerland is utilizing your micro-sharing share in order to help finance the “Tigray – with water against hunger” project.
Transparency
We are aware of the areas in which we are already heavily involved and where there is still a lot of room for improvement. Absolute transparency and honesty are a matter of honor for us. The “Why” plays a very important role for us in all business areas. Existing issues are questioned and critically assessed. A current concern for us is plastic waste and how to best get rid of it. The solution is not yet on the table, but we are working towards it! Every change begins on a small scale. We appreciate it if you throw the PET bottles into the recycling container.
Projekt Tigray
In the northern Tigray region in Ethiopia, droughts are becoming increasingly common due to climate change. Recently, the region has suffered the worst drought in over 30 years.
Together with Helvetas, we are tackling the problems with a comprehensive project: The goal is to provide the right infrastructure in order to help store rainwater and provide a source of water for consumption and agriculture as well as to combat erosion. Other measures help increase and diversify agricultural production and people’s income so that they can improve their food security and free themselves from poverty.
Around 8,300 poor rural families in ten communities benefit directly from this project. However, over ten thousand additional families will indirectly benefit from these changes.
WE HAVE CRACKED THE MYSTERY SURROUNDING THE PRESERVATION OF THE AROMA DIVERSITY FOUND WITHIN A COFFEE BEAN.
The roasted coffee beans contain hundreds of different aromas. The taste spectrum ranges from dark chocolate and caramelized hazelnuts to fruity wild berries or floral notes. But how do you best get hold of these wonderful aromas?
Brewing grounded coffee hot at almost 100 degrees, causes roasted aromas to arise. Unfortunately, the heat also destroys many of the original flavors and bitter substances and acids are released from the bean. In order to prevent this, it makes sense to take the heat component completely out of the equation. In the USA, cold brew has long been more than just a trend and is already very popular among coffee lovers.
Together with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Mastercoldbrewer has completely RE-thought the way in which cold-brewed coffee is made today and has developed a method that conserves the maximum freshness, variety and complexity of the coffee aromas in the end product. The process takes a matter of minutes, which sets us apart from the common cold brew preparation methods that take several hours.
This gentle preparation method also does not require any heat. As a result, the acidity of the coffee is reduced to a minimum and bitter substances are broken down. Instead of utilizing grounded coffee, we throw the whole beans into the cold water, where they then get finely grinded, releasing the full variety of coffee flavors from the coffee bean in no time.
At the same time, all floral and fruity as well as the mild roasted aromas are enclosed in the water and therefore cannot evaporate into the air. The remaining solids are centrifuged and filtered at the end. The short preparation time of just a few minutes also prevents an adverse change in taste and nutritional values, as no negative external effects can occur during this short time period.

STORY
It all began when Roland and Tilo visited a chocolate factory in Venezuela in 2007. They were surprised by the quantities of aromas that ended up in the air, rather than in the final chocolate. This inspired them to RE-THINK the standard production process for chocolate, coming up with the cold extraction method. After selling the patent to Dieter Meier, Roland and Tilo applied this Know-how in coffee, resulting in RE-COFFEE, the revolutionary Spin Cold Brew®.
Nevertheless, producing the best cold brew is not enough. RE-COFFEE is Fairtrade certified and is brewed with organic coffee beans. We also support the Swiss NGO Helvetas with water projects in Ethiopia.
